Video Editor
Inspector
The Inspector shows the settings of whatever you selected: a clip's tabs by its type, or a transition's settings. With nothing selected it says Select a clip to edit its properties. Values that can animate carry a keyframe button; the Inspector reads and writes them at the playhead.
Tabs per clip type
| Clip type | Tabs (the first opens by default) |
|---|---|
| Video | Basic · Audio · Speed · Animation · Adjust |
| Image | Basic · Animation · Adjust |
| Audio | Audio · Speed |
| Text | Text · Basic · Animation · Adjust |
| Caption | Captions · Style |
| Shape | Shape · Basic · Animation · Adjust |
| Effect | Effect · Code · Basic · Animation · Adjust |
| HTML scene | Code · Basic · Animation · Adjust |
| Compound | Basic · Audio · Animation · Adjust |
| Adjustment layer | Adjust |
Installed packs can add their own tabs. The tab you last opened for a type stays open when you select another clip of that type.
Number fields
Each number is a slider with − and + step buttons; double-click the value to type it. Sliders and colour pickers of animatable values carry a diamond:
- Filled on a keyframe, hollow while the value animates elsewhere. Click it to Add keyframe or Remove keyframe at the playhead.
- The ◀ ▶ arrows (Previous keyframe / Next keyframe) jump the playhead to this value's neighbouring keys.

Basic
Transform
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Pos X, Pos Y | Position of the anchor on the canvas (0, 0 is the centre). |
| Scale X, Scale Y | Size. |
| Rotation | Degrees. |
| Opacity | 0 to 100%. |
| Anchor X, Anchor Y | The point it scales and rotates around. |
Frame
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Fit | Cover fills the frame (cropping), Contain shows it whole. |
| Width, Height | The box size. |
| Crop X, Crop Y, Crop width, Crop height | Crop the source. Reset crop clears it. |
Audio
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Volume | The clip's loudness (keyframeable). |
| Fade In, Fade Out | Fade lengths. Set by the transition when a crossfade handles that edge. |
Speed
Set a constant speed, or pick a speed curve: Montage, Hero, Bullet or Flash. Freeze frame holds one frame. In (s) and Out (s) show which part of the source the clip plays.
Animation
Three slots: In (when the clip starts), Out (when it ends) and Loop (all the way through). Pick an animation in each, or None, and set its Duration. The Effects panel's tiles preview each slot.

An adjustment layer applies these to everything under it.

| Align left / center / right | Alignment. |
| Reflow / Scale | Resizing the box re-wraps the text (font size fixed), or stretches it like other elements. |
| Font Size, Line Spacing | Size and spacing (keyframeable). |
| Color, Outline, Outline color | Fill, outline width and outline colour (keyframeable). |
Captions and Style
The Captions tab lists every caption of the track; the Style tab sets the track's caption style. See .
Shape
Rect, Ellipse or Line, with Color and Thickness.
Code (HTML scenes and your own packs)
An HTML scene is a web page that draws each frame. Edit its code, then Apply (or Revert). The page draws in window.render(frame, info) (with second, fps, duration, width, height) and awaits window.ready for anything it loads first; it draws only from the frame, with no timers or animation loops.
For a pack your workspace made, Code edits its source: Apply builds a new version and moves this clip to it; other clips keep theirs.
A transition's settings
Select a transition on a cut to see Effect (or None (cut)), Timing (Duration (s), easing, alignment) and Audio (crossfade curve). See .
FAQ
Why are some fields greyed out?
The clip's track is locked, or the field doesn't apply (a caption sits where its style puts it, so it has no transform).
How do I reset a value?
Type the default (0 for position, 100% for scale and opacity), or undo. Reset crop clears a crop in one press.
