Video Editor
Export and versions
Export renders your project into a video file on Rewivo's servers, so you can close the tab while it works. This page covers the render settings and queue, the version history, and what to do when media goes offline.
Export a video
- Press Export in the header. The Renders dialog lists this project's exports.
- Start a New render and pick:
- Resolution: 480p, 720p or 1080p, up to your plan.
- Codec: H.264 (plays everywhere) or H.265 (smaller files).
- Frame rate: up to your plan.
- Start it. Until you pick, the dialog suggests the best your plan allows (1080p at 30 fps when it can).
A render takes the project as the server has it, so it waits for changes still on their way (Workspace changes have not been saved).
The render queue
The header shows the render's progress:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Queued · Waiting for render #2/5 | In line. Your plan runs 1 render at a time, or Waiting for a free server slot. |
| Preparing… | Gathering the media. |
| Rendering 42% | Rendering. |
Finished renders stay in the Renders dialog to download. Renders in the Library's project menu opens the same list.
Version history
The editor keeps a snapshot of the project every 200 changes or 30 minutes, and keeps the last 20. Open Version history (the clock icon in the header; projects only, templates have revisions instead) and pick Restore on a date: Version restored — undo brings your work back. Everyone editing sees the restore land.
Offline media
Media is offline when its file is no longer in the Drive (deleted, or moved away). The header shows 2 media offline, the Player draws a Media Offline card, and the Media offline dialog offers:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Fetch again | Re-download media that has a recorded source (a YouTube video, say), with its progress and Log. |
| Locate | Pick a replacement file. |
| Remove | Take it off the timeline. |
| Continue offline | Keep editing; it stays missing. |
Exporting with offline media asks first: the render tries to relink it and fails if it can't be recovered.
FAQ
Why is 1080p greyed out?
Your plan doesn't include it. Higher resolutions and frame rates come with a plan. See .
Can I keep editing while it renders?
Yes. The render uses the project as it was when you started it.
