Clipper
Clipper
The Clipper turns one long video into many short clips: it downloads the source, transcribes the speech, lets the AI find, edit, rank and pick the strongest moments, frames every scene for your format, and renders each clip with captions and a hook. You set it up in one stepper, Set up your clips, and every choice is remembered for your next run.
Start a run
- Open Clipper from the sidebar.
- Paste a YouTube link and press Continue, or press Upload a video.
- Walk through the steps and press Process clips on Review.
The steps are Source, Clipper, Template (when your plan includes templates), Caption, Hook and Review. Back and Next move between them; Edit on a Review row jumps back to its step.
Source
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Speech language | The language spoken in the video. Auto Detect works for most videos. |
| Clip language | The language of the clip text (titles, captions, hook). Auto follows the speech. |
| Source quality | The resolution Rewivo downloads, up to your plan's limit. |
| Include specific moments | A short ask for the AI, such as "find all the moments when someone scored". See below. |
| Only part of the video | Clip a range (Start and End) instead of the entire video. The estimate updates: Estimated usage: 42 tokens for the selected part of the video. |
| Subtitles (SRT) | Optional: use your own subtitles as written instead of transcribing. Pick the speech language that matches them. Some engines need them for uploads. |
Include specific moments
Tell the AI what to look for. How to ask:
- Name the moment, not the topic: "every time someone scores" works better than "football".
- Mention who or what: "when the guest talks about money".
- Keep it to one short ask. The AI still applies its own editing rules.
- It works best with what is said out loud. The AI reads the words, so a goal nobody mentions is hard to find.
Clips that match carry a Requested badge. When nothing matches, the run says so and hands you the best other moments.
Clipper
| Option | Choices | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Clip genre | Auto, Podcast, Education, Comedy, Story, Motivation, Reaction, Gaming, Sports | What counts as a strong moment. |
| Export resolution | Up to your plan | The output resolution of the clips. |
| Clip length | Auto, Under 15s, 15–30s, 30–45s, 45–60s, 1m–1m 30s, 1m 30s–2m, 2m–3m | The target length of each clip. |
| Format | 9:16, 1:1, 16:9 | Vertical, square or landscape. |
| Layout | Auto, Games, Podcast, Other, your presets | How each scene is framed. See . |
| Source credit | On or off, with text | A small line at the top of every clip, for its whole length, such as Source: (who made the video). |
Template
When your plan includes templates, this step lays a template over every clip of the picked format: your logo, frame, lower third or end card play on top of the clip, with the clip's title and hook filled into the template's {{title}} and {{hook}} text.
- Pick one or several templates. With several, each clip gets one at random (and keeps it when you rebuild the clip).
- Loop the template: a template shorter than the clip repeats until the clip ends. Tracks the template sets to start or end keep their place.
- No template at your format yet? Make one in the video editor. See .
Caption
- Caption style: pick a tile; each tile previews its animation. None turns captions off.
- The cog on a tile opens Caption settings for that caption: colours and options. Reset goes back to the default look.
- Emoji on key words: adds a fitting emoji after the words that carry each clip's point.
- Censor curse words: masks swear words in the captions (f***).
Hook
A hook is an opening card that grabs attention in the first seconds.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Card design | The look of the hook card. None turns the hook off. |
| Mode | Keep rolling: the video keeps playing under the card. Freeze frame: the picture stops on one frame while the card shows. |
| Hook voice | A voice reads the hook text aloud. Filter by gender, press play to hear one, tune Pitch and Speed, and Play with settings. Each voice costs a few credits per clip. |
Hook voices come with plans that include them (marked Pro). If the balance runs out after the minutes, clips are made without a voice and carry a No voice badge.
Review
Review lists every choice, the cost in tokens and your Available balance. Press Process clips to start, or Buy tokens when the balance is short.

FAQ
Can I clip a private YouTube video?
No. The video must be public or unlisted. Upload the file instead.
Can I make clips in another language than the video?
Yes. Set Clip language to the language you want; titles, captions and the hook are written in it.
How many clips does a run make?
It depends on the video's length and how many strong moments it has. Longer videos give more clips.
Will my settings be the same next time?
Yes. Genre, layout, length, format, captions, hook and templates are remembered per workspace.
