Clipper
Collections
A collection is a folder of clips from any run: one per campaign, client or series. Collections nest up to three levels (for example Client › Campaign › Week), and they belong to the workspace, so members who can read clips share them. Every workspace has Favorites, which always sits first.
Add clips
- Star a clip card to add it to Favorites, or star it again to take it out.
- Add to collection in a clip card's menu opens a searchable list of every collection. Tick the ones that should hold the clip, or type a name to make a new collection with it.
The sidebar
The Collections group sits under Create.
- Click Collections to open the overview, or a collection to open it.
- Hover the group and press + to make a collection in place. Type its name and press Enter.
- Drop a clip card from a collection's page onto a collection to move it there (hold Alt, Option on Mac, to copy).
- Hover a collection and press ⋯ for New sub-collection, Rename, Move to… and Delete.
- Drag a collection by its row: drop it on the top or bottom edge of another row to reorder, or on the middle to put it inside. A move that would go deeper than three levels, or into itself, snaps back.
- Collections that hold sub-collections show a chevron on hover; the sidebar remembers which ones you opened.
The overview
The Collections page shows your top-level collections as cards, with a cover made from their first clips, their clip count and when they changed. Search finds collections at any level, and you can sort by your order, name, recent updates or clip count.
Inside a collection
- Clips show as full clip cards: play, download, share, make a thumbnail or edit them right there.
- Download all saves the finished clips in one zip, with a
captions.txtof their captions and hashtags. - Select clips with their checkbox to Move to…, Copy to…, Download or Remove them.
- In Your order, drag a card by its handle (top left) onto another to reorder. Drag it onto a sub-collection, a part of the path at the top, or a collection in the sidebar to move it there; hold Alt (Option on Mac) to copy instead.
- A clip whose run was deleted shows its saved title and a Remove button.
FAQ
Does removing a clip from a collection delete it?
No. A collection only points to clips; the clip stays in its run.
What happens to sub-collections when I delete a collection?
They're deleted with it, and the confirmation says how many. The clips in them stay in their runs.
Can a clip be in more than one collection?
Yes. Add it to as many collections as you like; moving it between two collections never makes a copy unless you hold Alt.
Can my team see my collections?
Yes. Collections belong to the workspace, so every member who can read clips sees them, and members who can make clips can change them.
